Black moonstone is a dark variety of feldspar—primarily mined in Madagascar and India—that embodies the energetic symbolism of the new moon.
Core Meaning and Symbolism
• New Moon Energy: Unlike glowing white moonstone (which represents the full moon and illumination), black moonstone is viewed as a stone of quiet beginnings, hidden potential, and the fertile dark before a cycle starts.
• Grounded Intuition: It pairs traditional lunar intuition with deep emotional grounding. Users on Reddit reach for it for shadow work, emotional balance, aura cleansing, and past-life recall.
• Chakras and Elements: Most commonly linked to the Root and Crown chakras (connecting high spiritual insight with physical presence), along with the Earth and Water elements
